In honor of the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio, the first ever Budokai Olympic Games were held at the dojo on July 31st!!
All students aged 7-12 were invited to participate in an afternoon of games, friendly competition, and fun! The fee to participate was a donation to our Regional Summer Food Drive.
CONGRATULATIONS to all those who participated! The day was a tremendous success! Six teams (countries) competed in five events that reflected actual Olympic events, including track and field, swimming and diving, field hockey, volleyball, and the future Olympic event, KARATE, which is slated to be included in the 2020 Olympic games!
We will be posting pictures soon, along with responses from students who choose to participate in the Olympic scavenger hunt and worksheet.
